Couples Therapy FAQs
-
I am not contracted with any insurance panels. This allows me to offer flexible, highly personalized, evidence-based support without the red tape insurance requires. If clients want to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill — please note this requires a formal diagnosis.
-
I offer in-person sessions in Fort Mill, SC, and virtual sessions across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Couples may join virtual sessions from separate locations if needed.
-
Yes — young infants are welcome, especially for postpartum couples. Once babies are mobile or distractible, it’s typically more supportive to attend without them.
-
Weekly sessions are 80 minutes for both couples and individual support.
Maintenance clients may be approved for 30-minute sessions as appropriate. -
Yes. All weekly sessions (couples, individual, and hybrid) are offered virtually in NC, SC, and FL — and partners may join from different locations.

Most couples already have a sense of which direction they want to begin, and taking the leap into a first session is often the best next step. The first session gives us space to get to know each other, clarify your goals, and establish a clear plan of action to support your relationship.
Intensives give you dedicated time (typically 3-4 hours for first-time clients) to deeply explore patterns, reconnect emotionally, and walk away with a clear path forward. They also include a 90-minute pre-assessment to make the most of our time together.
If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out — I’ll help guide you toward the best fit based on your goals and what’s going on in your relationship right now.
